A documentary by Roswitha Schmitt
Harry, Nanda and Jacques are visitors to the Makom drop-in centre for homeless people and drug users in Amsterdam. The three are taking part in a special project run by Latin Sisters Design Productions, aimed at motivating them to rejoin the labour market.
The participants collect waste material locally, and use it to make bread baskets and jewellery kits. The idea is that the products they make should eventually go on sale.
Harry is happy to be working with the "nice women", and Jacques appreciates the recycling aspect. But Nanda is offended by the "disrespectful" concept of the workshop. "They come here and think we don't know anything!"
After four months, filming is brought abruptly to an end.
For Harry, Nanda and Jacques too, the project is over – for each of them in a different way.
